Oliver Jane
was formed in July of 2007 by members Ali Coyle and Wesley Somers, while traveling in Ireland. During their trip, they wrote
and recorded songs on a laptop computer and posted them on the internet via myspace. Returning home to find a surprising fan
base, Oliver Jane soon grew to include double bassist David Sachs, violist Serena Robinette, and percussionists Graham Waks
and Jace Henzley. After very few rehearsals as a group Oliver Jane found themselves booked to open for the Saw Doctors on
their US Tour. After that they’ve been playing in various shows, writing new material almost every week, and have just
recently finished recording their first self-titled EP. Oliver Jane has been called, “…the next cult group to
come out of California,” (Samuel Harwood) and they prove again and again.
